Ship life is fulfilling , exciting and you visit the most amazing places around the world. It’s a whole new life compared to a spa position on land.

You get the opportunity to work with some amazing talent people from all over the world. You wake up every day in a new location and have lunch most days in a beautiful restaurant on the beach.

I have been in the Spa industry for 22 years , first came to see when I was 25 , then at 30 returned to UK and launched my own company a day spa , but longed to return to sea after a 7 year break.

I returned to the Ocean and never looked back!

I have had amazing teams and made some real friends for life! I have travelled on 3 different cruise lines 2 of which were P & O and did the world cruise which was amazing. Waking up in a different continent every day is something really worth working for.

I have evolved so much since working for OBS as I used to work in a small salon in a little town and now am Manager of my own spa. This is an enormous triumph and everyone should try it! Live the dream you only live once!

Working on a cruise ship is definitely one of the most challenging, exciting and rewarding experiences of my life.

I have worked with teams as small as five and as large as 25 at different times on different ships, each a unique opportunity to develop new skills and adapt to new environments. Learning something new every day from the staff, crew and passengers from around the world and be willing to give back your all to facilitate the smooth operation of a successful Spa environment. After a decade at sea I still want more!

This amazing experience is next to none however there are some challenges to face daily which help me to understand myself and grow as a person.

16 ships and 9 years later, here I am still enjoying every moment. Whether work or play, the rules of the game are still the same. What you put in, is what you get out. For me my time on ships has been extremely rewarding and an unbelievable experience.

The places I've seen, the people I've met and the skills I've learnt both as a Fitness Director and Spa Manager have been second to none. Best part of all, I'm still learning, still loving the life and it's not over yet.
